Janet Scott-Buckley

From an early age Janet enjoyed reading and writing, and focused on those throughout college, where she took literature courses and was a Teaching Assistant in a writing course for Psychology majors. Janet graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and a minor in Women's Studies.

Janet obtained a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work, with a Certificate in Family Therapy from Boston University, after which she worked as an outreach clinician with children and families in urban areas north of Boston. Janet made a career change in 1995, and is now a manager and commercial lines specialist with a large insurance agency in Massachusetts. She also works with her husband, Mark in their web design business, Buckley Web Design, writing and editing content for client web sites.

Janet’s first published work, "Eight Feet of Terror" will be available in Spring 2013 from Hidden Thoughts Press, as part of the Anthology Real Phobias, Real People.
